Palm braiding

My church had a palm braiding class last week.   I thought that sounded fun and it was something I never did.  It was a blast.   I'm really looking forward to doing another one next year. 

Yarn, Yummy Yarn

Lookie what I got in the mail today.  It's McColl Pond and I got it from http://hyenacart.com/micsknitz/

It will be a pair of shorties for C5.   I was all excited to start them tonight and then remembered that the yarn is still in a skein.  BUMMER!   I loath winding skeins of yarn.  I normally make DH do it.  I really should just purchase a ball winder and make our lives easier, but there's something nice about having DH wind the yarn and be a part of whatever it is I'm knitting.

I'll make sure to post pictures of the finished project.  I'm a super slow knitter so it won't be to soon.
